Leonard Trubia is an artist born in New York City, raised in Florida. For the last 25 years, he has lived and worked in southern California. His earliest forms of self-expression were drawing and skateboarding.

His body of work spans various mediums including writing, film, sculpture, photography and painting, with oil painting being the primary focus in recent years.

Leonard’s painting process is spontaneous, with a loose/erratic style that marries figurative elements with abstract expressionism. Hesitant to volunteer narratives of his work, he encourages the viewer derive their own interpretation. In addition his work explores concepts of mortality, literature, metaphysics, and various shades of humor.
